Congratulations Tracy Carr

Congratulations to the founder of mental health charity Talk it Out, Tracy Carr, on receiving an honour from the Queen in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Talk It Out plays a vital role in providing mental health support in Deal and has been a lifeline to many during the pandemic.

During the pandemic, Talk It Out secured Government and lottery funding to pay for emergency food and other provisions, as well as supporting members of the group with virtual support and counselling throughout the pandemic.

Tracy worked tirelessly to support the mental health and wellbeing of so many people at home during this pandemic, in addition to her many years in setting up and leading Talk It Out. She is a huge asset, a gem and an inspiration in our community. It is so well-deserved and I am delighted she has been recognised in Her Majesty’s Birthday Honours. I extend my thanks to her for all she and her group do to support so many others in our community.
