Give yourself a boost this Winter – visiting new local Covid vaccination centre

I am urging everyone eligible to get a booster jab this Winter, following my visit to the new Covid vaccination centre based at Whitfield Village Hall.

The Whitfield vaccination centre is one of three dedicated local hubs for residents across the Dover and Deal area to have their COVID vaccines, in addition to large-scale facilities in Folkestone, Canterbury and Thanet. The three sites are the Dover Health Centre, Whitfield Village Hall and the Clockwork Pharmacy in Deal.

At Whitfield village hall, I met with Dr Julian Mead, who set up the new centre, nurse Le-Anne Laing and volunteer Brian Dunne to hear about how the new local service was operating.

I was so pleased to see the new vaccination centre in action, and to meet with Dr Julian and the team. With three local vaccinations centres in Dover, Deal and Whitfield, in addition to the large scale sites at Canterbury, Folkestone and Thanet, everyone should be able to find a site and time to suit them to get their booster vaccination done.

It is essential that everyone who is eligible for a vaccine takes up that opportunity. So give yourself a boost this Winter – it protects you and those around you.
