I attended the Feast Day Mass at St Edmund’s Catholic School to celebrate St Edmund. Mass started in the morning at the Duke of York’s Royal Military School, followed by a celebratory lunch at St Edmund’s. The afternoon included a range of other activities for the students at the school. The Mass also marked the induction of the School’s new Academy Principal, Mrs Parsons.
The Mass was given by Principal Celebrant Monsignor Canon John O’Toole, Episcopal Vicar of Kent in the Catholic Southwark Diocese. Many students had the opportunity to showcase their tremendous music, singing and public speaking skills.
I was delighted to attend the wonderful Mass celebrating St Edmund. I would like to especially thank St Edmund’s School for inviting me to their Feast Day Mass. This was a great day for the Catholic community to get together and celebrate St Edmund.
The students put on an excellent show and did their school proud and I wish Mrs Parsons all the very best in her role as Academy Principal.
