The Dover SmART Project has been awarded nearly £50,000 from the first phase of the Youth Investment Fund. The substantial award will help the project purchase and outfit a minibus for the Dover-based arts charity, enabling increased youth outreach activity for children and young people disadvantaged by area poverty. It aims to improve wellbeing, strengthen engagement, and raise aspirations.
The Youth Investment funding scheme is set to be available across three financial years, with the second phase for the funding application process scheduled for later this summer.
It’s great to see the Dover SmART Project get such a substantial Government award. Having seen their work with young people first-hand, there is such an enthusiasm and commitment to their work.
I look forward to seeing the money be put to good use by the charity in supporting people across our community.
