The Government has announced substantial funding to Dover District Council to support its work supporting homeless people. The £505,653 is an increase on previous funding to the District and will play a vital role in ensuring that people who are homeless can be provided with emergency and long term support.
This year’s cash allocation for homelessness prevention and support work is very welcome. Council Leader Cllr Trevor Bartlett and the Dover District Council team show tremendous commitment to supporting people who are homeless in our community, working with some fantastic organisations locally. This extra funding from the Conservative Government will be a welcome boost to their work in this vital area.
