Natalie praises social care workforce amid £9 million Government funding boost

Across Dover, Deal and the villages, adult social care workers are doing a great job of providing a vital and important service in caring for older and vulnerable people.

It can be a great vocation and there are job vacancies in social care for people who might wish to consider this area of work.

I welcomed the Government injection of over £9 million for Kent’s adult social care workers to attract and retain skilled adult social care workers.

The settlement is one of the highest in country, recognising the particular needs and pressures on adult social care in the County.

Looking after people who are older and vulnerable should matter to us all. I am pleased to see a real focus on making sure that people are cared for well in our community.
