Back in 2010, Dover’s hospital had been decimated. Services were lost and wards axed one by one. Meanwhile Deal Hospital was left teetering on the edge and Canterbury was set for downgrade. Things looked bleak.
Yet all the hard work by the local Conservative team has paid off. The £20 million new hospital in Dover is open and a massive success. Deal Hospital was safeguarded after a strong community campaign. And Canterbury is getting a shot in the arm with a new medical school now on the way. A revolutionary new dementia village will soon be open in Dover.
Since 2010, there has been record NHS investment. Recently, £350 million upgrades have been earmarked for East Kent’s hospitals. When it comes to the NHS, our local Conservative team delivers time and again.
