The Government has allocated Dover District Council an additional £222,286 to ensure that Ukrainian guests can be supported to move into their own homes and reduce the risk of homelessness.
I was extremely proud that so many people in Dover and Deal opened their homes up to Ukrainians in their time of need. This additional government funding should ensure that our Ukrainian guests are supported, including with sustainable accommodation, for example through access to the private rental sector, and employment access.
My team and I continue to support Ukrainians living in our area, host families and organisations providing support. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need assistance office.natalie.elphicke.mp@parliament.uk
